The food was delicious and the people were kind!
Helm is outstanding, a neighborhood gem! Super cozy and cute space with incredibly friendly service. We tried almost every dish, the food was so so imaginative and tasty and an incredible value at $60 for 3 courses. One of our party was gluten free and was able to have just about everything on the menu including ice cream sandwich for dessert!
Great food, BYOB, feels very local and hidden from the crowd
I've been to the majority of the highly regarded restaurants in Philly. To me, oftentimes it's the same old same old, big bill, kind of an assembly line to get you in and out. This place is the opposite. The two guys working are the owners. You can sense that it is their creativity that is being served, and it's not going through a massive buffer zone of 20 different preps and food runners and whomever else, where that creativity and personalization lessens each step of the way.
