Such a frustrating company to rent from. Super helpful in the beginning and then once you sign a lease, their customer service takes a complete dive. My maintenance requests went unanswered and even when one was marked "complete," I didn't get any communication on how the issue was resolved. I left voice messages and texts. Someone eventually contacted me to be a listening ear, but nothing of note changed. (except I was sent a link to an app that if I signed up for would be beneficial? Will make up reasons to withhold security deposit, including charging you for things installed by previous owners, who you actually agreed to rent from. They have no problems inflating prices and leaving you with an unreasonable bill.
First impressions consisted of a tour guide on his phone the whole time only hearing half the questions asked about the house. From there things somehow went even farther downhill. heirloom’s customer service is to die from. I wish I could say it was to die for or even just mediocre, which would be a compliment in respect to their standards but this is not the case. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Zero flexibility in assisting customers under extenuating circumstances. After explaining our situation we were essentially told to go jump off a bridge, and they dared us to dispute the charge as "their legal team will handle it". Avoid at all costs
I don’t mean to be rude, but what a pathetic company. They have not only screwed over me, but my roommates as well. I say that as we have tried to communicate with them SEVERAL times and they choose to ignore us. I don’t know if it’s out of ignorance or if they just don’t care about tenets, but no college person should event think about housing with them. I’m sorry, but how horrific of a living situation. Heirloom is horrible. I can't talk to them on the phone. I've tried calling them multiple times, and I've been emailing them. They haven't returned my missed calls, and they set deadlines for money basically sooner than they can answer. They don't notify us if the money is going to change for having more people in the house. It'll be a month after someone is added, and they don't do anything for a while. Heirloom Property Management was consistently unreliable throughout the single year we rented with them. They allowed our house to reach low 40 degrees Fahrenheit before they thought to temporarily give us space heaters because it was going to be even longer before they could fix our heater. We found a dead mouse trapped in our sink drain and they took several weeks to come clear it out for us. They will take every chance they can get to charge unnecessary fees.
