We have used Heiners bread for years, but it has changed, the texture was all open and dry and no taste.
It’s clear that the recipe has changed. The taste, texture and everything has changed in the last 3 or 4 months. Old-Fasioned is still better than the original — I always thought it was. But I bought my last loaf of Heiners white bread last week. Now I’m going for Betsy Ross or Wonder.
I live in Iowa.. This has to be the best bread ever!! Not like Iowa Bread which is like Sawdust after a day.. Old Fashion is the best!!
Why doesn't a company like Heiner's have a website ?
I love this bread but my new loaf today has BLACK, machine like grease throughout the entire loaf. And the edges are hard. What happened?!?
We are a meat market on Kanawha terrace in St. Albans WV and just because we refuse to pay cash every day, which we don’t have time to do they are taking their products out of our store . We have never missed a payment, we write a check every Saturday and our checks have never failed to clear the bank. I guess little businesses don’t matter we our sad they are leaving but why fix something if it is not broken
The best bread ever. I miss it so much. Even day old is still soft and tastes great.
