Just like the other complaint by Brandy, I was told Heffington's want to file on your Health insurance not your vision insurance. Guess what, health insurance doesn't cover optometrists and if you have a large deductable you are stuck with the bill. Why bother going to a "preferred in-network" provider when they won't file your claim? I had been a patient here for years with no issues and now I will never suggest anyone go here.

Hi Kay - we did see your husband yesterday and did a self-pay discount since he informed us he had a high deductible. Optometrists are considered primary care physicians of the eye, thus health insurance actually does cover a comprehensive eye exam. We used your "in-network" benefit with your VCP for his contact lenses.
The Dr's are nice but the front staff are liars. 2 times during my past visit I asked them to check what my insurance would pay as they were upsetting everything to me. This is even after I told them I brought in my old frames to put lenses in. They assured me twice that my insurance would pay everything. When I picked up my glasses I was told I owed $154 which I paid that day. Now almost 5 months later I get a bill for another $385. When I questioned it I got passed to 2 people. I called Dr. Mark Heffington and left a voicemail about my son needing metal fragments taken from his eye. Granted it’s Sunday and I figured we would be stuck in the emergency room for hours. Let me just start by saying it’s Sunday, and while everyone else is out enjoying their Sunday activities Dr. Mark Heffington and Dr. Bryce Heffington responded immediately to our eye emergency. Getting my boyfriend right in and the help he needed. They removed two different metal fragments from his eyes and did amazing explaining exactly what they were doing and what needed to be done. Very good experience. Doctor and staff were friendly and helpful. Communication couldn’t have been better. They have a huge selection of very nice frames. I love my glasses. They are everything I wanted.

I had my first appt there today and I can’t say enough positive things about this place! I had an excellent experience. Every single employee I dealt with was extremely kind and patient and caring. I didn’t feel rushed at all and I felt like they genuinely cared about me and my eyes and not just the money they’d be getting from me 😊 I’ve already recommended them to a couple people. I’m so glad I found them! Although I shouldn’t be so surprised, I chose them because of the amazing Google reviews they already had!! :)
They were so nice and thorough. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to listen and make sure it is exactly what you want. They are also very COVID 19 considerate from the time you go in until you leave. It was a wonderful experience.
Absolutely spot on safety attention! masks, gloves, temperature check, and even pulse oximetry check! Everything wiped down. And I haven't been able to see this clearly in about 10 years -- true story!!! SO grateful they were able to get me in so fast (hours after I asked!) and I'd recommend Heffintgon's in a heartbeat. Family owned and they make YOU feel like you are part of the family.
Everything was easy even through these difficult times. New glasses look great and fit well. Thanks again for the service you have provided for years. God bless and keep you safe!
