History Established in 1953. Heavner's was founded in 1953 when Chester and Stella Heavner moved here from Detroit, bringing six canoes with them. We now have over 200 kayaks and canoes to rent. The business is still owned and operated by Chester and Stella's son, Alan.

Went here on a field trip today and had a blast!!! The owner was super nice and gave my friends and I kayaks even though it was a canoe trip. Really fun, hope to go back soon!
Heavner's has a fantastic atmosphere and the employees are beyond friendly. The moonlight paddle is a unique experience that everyone should partake in at least once.
