My wife bought a car from here 5 years ago. Now a 5 year old car with less than 80k miles needs a whole new engine harness at $1500. Apparently a faulty part, I'm not the first since there was a technical service bulletin about it. No recall, it causes the vehicle to accelerate when you try to stop, not safe at all. So I'm paying $2000 to replace an engine harness in something that has an obvious design flaw. Should be fixed for free. If it was an operator error than i would think otherwise.

Yes, you are correct that there was a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on this part but we cannot notify you about it if you do not have your vehicle serviced with us. If you had serviced the 2008 Yaris with us during the time warranted, it would have been free, but you chose to have it serviced elsewhere.
