Before HealthEast in Maplewood was bought out by M Health Fairview, their phone service was great! Now that it's a part of a big "network", the wait time has been 30minutes plus. And communication between the different channels are disappointing.

Business response:

Hello, Al. We’d like to hear more about your communication concerns. Would you private-message with us?

How do you RESCHEDULE someone’s Covid test prior to surgery, swear up and down that it will be resulted before surgery, then call 30 min prior to check in saying it’s not resulted and you can’t come in the building. WE LEFT AT 5 AM WE LIVE NORTH OF THE CITIES I HAVE A WEEK OFF WORK YOU GUYS LITERALLY DID THIS. Currently sitting OUTSIDE the building, since we’re not allowed in, even though check in is at 7- we’re supposed to just sit in the parking lot till you call. Unbelievable. Absolutely unreal.

Apparently you guys are ok with hiring cyber bullies as your medical staff.

Don't use OnCare! Terrible experience, pretty sure I was "seen" by a moderately complex computer workflow and charged more than my co-pay for basically no meaningful care. It looks to me like M Health is trying to reduce service while increasing revenue. :(

On hold 20 minutes and counting just to talk to scheduling. Was not like this with Healtheast.

Business response:

Hi, Lynn. We're sorry to hear you had to wait. The HealthEast scheduling line is the same as it was. What's changed is our call volume is substantially higher because of the pandemic. We appreciate your patience.

I waited for over an hour past my appointment time. Impersonal doctor and staff. The doctor advertised pharmaceuticals without any need for them whatsoever (daily anti-histamine to prevent ear pain from possible allergies, even if I never had any allergies... really??!). I went for a ear check after years not going to a doctor. Nothing was done other than checking the ears. Two minutes visit. Instead of coding that as physical checkup they coded it as a full office visit and cost me $305. The service I received is not even r... read more

Business response:

We're sorry to hear you weren't satisfied, Rossana. As a non-profit, we can assure you that the only reason we'd recommend an over-the-counter medicine or any treatment is for the benefit of our patients. The clinic manager would gladly discuss any of the issues you've raised, including the difference in billing between a preventive checkup when you're well and an office visit when you're not feeling well. She can be reached at 952-447-9528.

It truly saddens me to have to bring this racist post to your attention. I am hoping that this employee isn’t someone that shares your views of African Americans. I don’t think anyone of color should feel comfortable having her do anything dealing with their medical care! This is so disturbing, as specially since we thought your hospital was for the people and stood with Black lives and all lives! I hope to hear from you soon so that I know this is an establishment I can trust my Black family and loved ones to come for help!

Business response:

We stand with all people of color, Marilyn. Discrimination is a serious public health issue, so we thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re committed to healthcare that is free from bias and recognizes every person as worthy. You can read more about our work to address these issues here: https://www.mhealth.org/blog/2020/june-2020/m-health-fairview-creates-hope-commission-to-continue-health-equity-efforts
