After 30 years having Dr Richard Hays as my primary physician I can assure you that I never had a complain!
Dr Hayes seems like a joke. Can't run a practice, has malpractice claims, impossible to get anyone on the phone. Should choose another career.
despicable service
My life would Never be the same without Dr. Hays and his staff! I can Always count on them to be supportive and caring.
I have tried to get an explanation as to why this office is not billing a secondary insurance and no one will answer the question. TRICARE is a secondary insurance with no contracts with any MD. You simply send the bill with the Explanation of Benefits (sent to them via the primary) and TRICARE will normally pay the remainder, a simple and painless process. Yet no one answers.
The PA at this office misdiagnosed me even though I gave her family history and preliminary test results. She acted as if I was dumb. I went to another dr. Was diagnosed and feel better. No one in the office seemed to care. Go somewhere else. !!!
This office never answers the phone directly. You have no option but to leave a message, and when you do, you still are not called back. I have called, faxed, and written letters directly to Dr. Hayes personally, and to the front desk to resolve a large bill that THEY coded incorrectly. Cannot resolve it with them. Medicare advises the only thing I can do is file an appeal through them which I have done. Good luck to Medicare trying to get in touch with that office. Finding a new Primary.
I have been a patient of this practice for over 15 yrs. It started out good as a family practice when my children were small. The last 10 yrs have gone downhill since you don't even see Dr. Hays anymore. The appointments are scheduled at 12:30 then you wait 40 minutes to be called. You wait 4 days for a prescription to be called in after you hound them. You don't get a call with lab work results and you don't get a letter telling you results are normal. Looking for a new PCP right away.
I have been a patient for a few years and have only seen Dr. Hays once or twice (for less than 5 minutes each time !) over at least 6 visits. I have been frustrated for along time about no one answering the phone or even returning messages. That does seem to have improved more recently. I will probably change to a more hands-on personal Doctor.
