A Cutting Edge Beauty School in Kansas Hays Academy of Hair Design opened its doors on April 1st, 1981. In January of 2003, Summer Melvin and Danielle Markley (sisters) purchased the beauty school with the vision of offering the students with an up to date, cutting edge education that will enable them to thrive in the beauty industry. In addition, they had a strong desire to offer the community with professional salon services at a very affordable price.

Amber McDonald is wonderful with men’s cut! She knows exactly what I want! She also gives five star costumer service for sure !!!
Kaylyn Weems is absolutely amazing! She has been a friend of mine since grade school and I have loved watching her grow as a stylist! I recommended her for any service! �
When I went in to cut a lot of hair off back in September 2017, I made friends with Danielle Frink and I really enjoyed the work she did on me. I’ve been requesting Danielle ever since and she does a great job every time. I’m going to miss her when she graduates but I know she’ll do great as a cosmetologist.
I love getting services done by Logan Dale! Her bubbly attitude and work ethic really show when she's with a client. Her undivided attention was always on me during my service and I couldn't have been happier! �
Shelby has always done my hair and nails. She does an amazing job everytime, is extremely professional, always makes me feel comfortable, and well taken care of! I would recommend her in a heartbeat to friends and family anyday!!!
