A Cutting Edge Beauty School in Kansas Hays Academy of Hair Design opened its doors on April 1st, 1981. In January of 2003, Summer Melvin and Danielle Markley (sisters) purchased the beauty school with the vision of offering the students with an up to date, cutting edge education that will enable them to thrive in the beauty industry. In addition, they had a strong desire to offer the community with professional salon services at a very affordable price.

I have been very happy with the service and atmosphere at Hays Academy! I have had a gel manicure, spa pedicure (upgrade to the Lux...it's worth it), and a hair cut. My daughter and mother also had haircuts! Kelsey Hofeling did a great job with all of these services. Each time I have been in she has been helpful and polite. She truly cares about getting it right, so the finished product is fantastic! If you want genuine service ask for Kelsey!
I would recommend Ashli, very professional and eager to please.
i would recommend Kaylyn Weems anytime. She did an amazing job on my hair, eyebrows, and nails and makeup.
I would recommend Hollie Reinhardt any day! She is extremely professional and very detailed in her craft. She listened to everything I wanted and asked questions. At the end of the appointment it was better than I could even imagine!! Go see her!!
I had Hollie Reinhardt for multiple pedis, hair style/wash and she was excellent! Knows what she’s doing, very fun but professional as well! I recommend Hollie for anything you are in need for and you will get a great service!
Love going to HAHD to visit Tori Davidson. She did an awesome job on my perm. Great atmosphere and helpful staff made the time go by quickly.
