Hayes Meats is a wonderful local shop with excellent products, customer service and catering. The owners are honest, hard working people who strive for satisfaction and also give back to our Merritt Island community with their charitable annual event Wine, Wags and Whiskers.
This awesome family owned business just keeps getting better and better. They are always innovating to add the very best products and new offerings too! My husband and I both love shopping here and go nowhere else for our meats and treats. The apple/brie chicken is to die for!
What I don't like is deceitful people! I went in to get a couple steaks for a nice dinner tonight while in Florida and was surprised by the interactions with the young guy behind the counter. I picked out the steaks I wanted, he pointed to clarify and then picked them up to be wrapped. I then turned away to browse the shop when my attention was drawn back by the guy putting my steaks back on the shelf and wrapping something else up. Gave one star only because I couldn t give 0. I went in with some Groupons. I was told I could only use one, which is fair enough. But I was there with my husband and the owner refused to even let us each use one, saying that Groupon would not allow that (not true). He then started complaining about how little money he makes when people use the Groupons (then why did he sign up for them?)
