We received our first King Cake. Great flavor, outstanding service. Our cake arrived on our requested date. I will absolutely order from your bakery again.
I think it needs more icing and less sugar...but thats just my opinion. Also, why do you put your filling on the top instead of inside like a local competitor? It makes a dry cake...sorry! Your bakery smells wonderful though, even when you park next to it you can smell the king cakes baking and all of your cakes are gorgeous in the bakery!

We appreciate your feedback!! Every Haydel's king cake is hand braided to ensure the perfect mix of cinnamon and sugar throughout the entire dough. The braid makes standard filling impractical (and messy) so we pipe the filling directly on top of the dough before baking, creating a valley of filling in each slice.

Thank you!!! Ordered a king cake for delivery on 1/18 in Maine. Shipped 1/17, delivered 1/18. It might last until the 19th, but I doubt it! It's delicious!! We prefer king cakes with sugar only and no white icing... this is perfection! As a Cajun living up north, you have no idea how much it means to me to be able to a fresh king cake shipped overnight to me!
The hand pies were so delicious. I already had the apple and lemon. Can't wait for the sweet potato to return! Grazie for making these and bringing back a NOLA tradition.

I chose Haydels to do my wedding cake, and it was the best decision I have ever made. They went above and beyond my expectations.
I drove through the pouring rain on Kings Day to buy 1 traditional + 2 cream cheese king cakes... just to get home to find out they were all traditional. Was so disappointed... and I lived too far away to bring them back. ...double check yall orders before you leave the store!
