After decades of dealing with neurologists across the world, I have come to the firm conclusion that while many are good and well intentioned people, neurologists can not handle “mechanical injuries”. Neurosurgeons or orthopedic surgeons are an order of magnitude better in capability in at least understanding injuries related to structural injuries(especially if they are rare).
