Very Impressed – My boyfriends parents were in town and we wanted to take them somewhere nice but not formal. This was the place! The wine list is superb. I got the ribeye with the chili rub and which was also very good. I noticed once I got home that while having a before dinner drink at the bar I was charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. User review by emkmd – An excellent meal. We were seated promptly on New Years Eve and had very good. service. We had the Tuna and Potato/artichoke appetizers which were very good. For the main course the shrimp scampi linguini was great as was the turbot off the specials menu. We will definitely return.
Sophisticated – Haven is a genteel-but-hip restaurant with great food, great service, and ambience to die for, especially when it is warm and you can sit on the patio. It is, hands-down, one of my top five restaurants in Atlanta. (For the record, another is MIX, which is also owned by the Haven folks.)
Food is great, now a little service, please – The atmosphere is outstanding, and the food was superb. The service would have to step it up a notch just to be inattentive. 10 minutes to get two glasses of wine. After an hour we had only been served our appetizer (tasted great) and our salads. From the time our salads were finished until we received our entrees was an additional 25 minutes. And my biggest pet peeve: a server who never picks up the check when the payment is ready. When in Brookhaven – Cozy, popular Brookhaven restaurant packs in the crowds. You might have to wait awhile on a busy night. But order a bottle of wine at the bar. The food is fantastic, esp. the osso bucco. If you like neighborhood places with great cuisine, definitely give Haven a try.
