Shady Shady Shady – The atmosphere is very bar like, you would never expect the menu to have such high prices. It had fine dining prices without the fine dining atmosphere. It took forever for our meals to come out. And after our meals were out, we never saw the waitresses again. Terrible Service, Great Mojiitos, Food Ok – We've eaten art Havana's for years. However, last few time the food has been average, and the service terrible at best. Tonight, the witress brought out an incorrect meal (not wat we ordered) and then after finishing only 1/3 of my Oso Buco, I asked that it be boxed. Instead of placing the remainder in the box, she threw it in the trsh and then came back with the bill and said "oops, sorry" whan asked where it was. Do not eat here---very unprofessional owner – just came back from dinner at Havanna's in downtown Norfolk with 2 of my girlfriends. We waited 45 minutes for out appetizer (nachos) and 1 1/2 hours for our meals. Our server was in the weeds the entire night, forgot to ring in our order, and completely neglected our table. We asked to speak to the manager at the end of our meal to see about getting something comped for taking so long for our food. good food, fun atmosphere – I like this place. Have always had good food here. The drinks are very good as well. It fills up fast on a weekend night. Can be very noisy if there are many people at all there.
Good food when you get it. Bring your own toilet paper. – Great drinks and tasty food but poor dinner service. Waited at the bar for a table, drinks were good and service was fast. Got the table and it just went downhill. A great meeting place – Meet your freinds there for dinner, or make new friends at the bar. Great and interesting food selections. Bar service is delightful, and the scenery can be excellent.
My favorite Norfolk Hot Spot – Havana Norfolk is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The place has the feel of a trendy lounge with dark lighting, exposed brick walls, wait staff dressed in black, etc. But this place is more than a trend. Reservations are recommended...it can get packed on the weekends. But the food is well worth the wait - the ingredients are fresh and prepared to perfection. Food great, but long wait – Showed up at 7:15PM for a 8PM reservation, but didn't get seated until 8:50PM! And some people sat at the table we requested (upstairs) without having a reservation, but no one could tell them to move. Spent the dinner trying to avoid people bumping into our chairs. Food was plentiful and delicious but arrived cold, prices were good, wait staff was attentive. The left overs the next night were our favorite part.
