An elderly man collapsed to the floor in the clinic's hall as I was checking in at the clinic lobby. All necessary personnel were there to help the gentleman. I was politely ushered to another check-in point, which got me out of the way, permitted the paramedic to provide care and transport the man. It could have been a chaotic situation but was managed very efficiently by the clinic's medical personnel, thus giving the man the needed assistance, care and privacy without other patients standing near the medical emergency.
