The food is not worth the price!!! I had the peeled steamed spiced shrimp and it tasted like the frozen shrimp u can buy from foodlion grocery store abd the steamed crab legs were small. My husbands main course barely had anything on his plate. You do not get enough food for the price and the waitress kept trying to force drinks and desserts on us. I would never go back again! !!!
This place ROCKS!!! The Raw bar is great. I had Raw Clams and Oysters.
Sit at the bar on the left. Ask for Ryan. That dude is off the chain. I was totally entertained during our visit. We continue to hit up Thursday nights just cause we know he's there. Tell him your paintball buddy sent you. He's the best
We come once or twice a week and this was the first time this has happen while we were there. There was a man eating his dinner and this man beside him had a little to much to drink and was harassing the man eating. The language got out of hand and the bartender Trevor had it under control and the evening manager Jessica Claar handle the situation very well. I will keep coming back.
Just ate here at Harpoon Larry's. OMG it was great. Tiffany was our waitress. Great food outstanding service, so when you go there to eat, make sure you ask for her. I give both 5 stars...
Must sit at the raw bar, excellent selection of oysters. Glad the Sunday brunch is back, get the bruleed grapefruit
Went there sat had the rock fish and fried oysters they were the bomb !and the service was amazingly Great
I visit this place often and order calamari or mahi tacos. Such incredible food!!! I came in yesterday evening and was taken care of by Katie who was working the bar. Must say that she was extraordinary!!!! Such an enlightening lady to converse with, broad personality, knowledgeable about food & drinks, and VERY attentive!! Visit Harpoon Larry's and ask for Katie! You won't be disappointed!!! Thank you Katie & staff for yet again another exceptional experience! I will be back again! I need this place in my life ;)
Harpoon Larry's has been one of our favorites for years, we followed them from Hampton to the new revamped Newport News location. They tactfully piece together a fun bar atmosphere with family dining. The delicious and local fresh seafood options never disappoint, especially the oysters. We always have at least a few at every visit. From the 'crush' menu, to the craft beer selection and of course the infamous rum runners, there's always something fun and new to try.
