My mother went to see Dr. Haro for one of her annual visits. My mother was 50 years old at the time and asked Dr. Haro if she can have a referral to get her colonoscopy. Dr. Haro said she does not have to unless she was having symptoms. He did not educate my mother on the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer and did not send a referral out for my mother to have her colonoscopy (mind you screening for colon cancer is highly encouraged at age 50, which is why my mother asked) My mom at 52 found out she has terminal stage 4 ... read more
