The pizza was great, but the place was dirty. They were pretty busy and it was about 7 on a Saturday eve, so maybe they'd been busy for quite a while. But they should have had someone keeping the dining room tables cleared and clean.

When I visit Ottumwa my first thought is for Happy Joes Pizza. (After my grandchildren of course). It wouldn't be the same without my Happy Joes Special. My son, Rob Guiter, always makes sure I get my pizza and the kids are thrilled too. They love it.

Had my grandson's birthday there last night. He said it was the best day ever! The staff was fantastic making sure everything was perfect for our large group.

Had a birthday party in the party room for my 5 year old. Staff was excellent and the pizza was great. Prices aren't too shabby either. The kids really enjoy Happy Joe's!!

My son had his daughters first birthday there today. We traveled to come here thinking it would be similar to ours in our town....NOT even close!! We ordered a blt pizza that came with frosting on it instead of mayonnaise. Then it was a half hour before we were supposed to be out and the waitress rudely told us to start clearing out as her next party was coming. She was complaining to us about cake on the floor and how her supervisor was going to be very upset! I have never been to an establishment where a waitress complaine... read more
