My husband has seen Dr. Hanna for 9 years. When my husband was first diagnosed with tonsil cancer, he was presented with a plan of treatment by Dr. Hanna. When my husband was not comfortable with the plan, Dr. Hanna came up with an alternative plan! When my husband had a negative reaction to the first treatment, Dr. Hanna personally returned our call at 9:30 p.m. to address our issue! In each appointment, Dr. Hanna was patiently attentive to our questions and concerns. We are very thankful and grateful for Dr. Hanna!
I have been a patient of Dr. Hanna for two years. Dr, Hanna is personable, caring, and compassionate. He listens and answers all questions in a clear and concise manner. Though he is very efficient with his time, I have found him to always take time for my and my spouse's questions. I have complete confidence in his knowledge. A keyway to tell the character of a doctor is by getting to know the doctor's staff. The loyalty and respect his staff have for him is remarkable.
My visit with Dr. Hannah concerning my Hypercoagulable disorder was Awfully Distressing for both my spouse & myself. He was behind schedule & that's ok if he had a good bedside manner, but he didn't. We found him to be lacking in that area for he was Unkind, Uncaring, Impatient, Impersonable, & a Poor Communicator. Upon being questioned his display of Arrogance was overwhelming. He may be a great cancer doc, but if you have need for a hematologist go somewhere else. Zero bed side manner. Zero discussion of results. Zero consideration for other conditions or factors. Do what he says or accept the risk
Dr. Hanna is a highly sought after hematologist oncologist. He treats every patient like a friend or family. He is the best there is. If you experience a long waiting time- realize that he is trying to see every patient he can, and fully explain things to them.
My mother is a patient here since the end of 2020 she had colon cancer n this is the oncologists that ut referred her to see. She has been in the office n found out her cancer is the aggressive kind n they done a huge amount of lab work to only be informed that some of the blood work was miss placed. So the doctors office shipped out to her house the lab vials and set up a time that was able to be convenient for the person who was coming to get the blood work and my mom to be at home. Dr. Hanna has understood my concerns with Essential Thrombocythemia and explained treatment plan options that have provided relief. Dr. Hanna and staff keep the patients concerns and offered reassurance from diagnosis and kept me as a partner in improving blood results for over a year. I do not hesitate to confirm the excellent state of art care delivered with compassion and clinical excellence.
Dr.Hanna was a God send to me and I will forever be grateful for the care, concern , and the friendship that he has shown toward me from my first diagnosis of stage 4 esophageal cancer to 9 years later now that I am in total remission. In my opinion, Dr. Hanna and the staff at The University of Tennessee Medical Center are the best inthe world!
Dr. Hanna saved my dad’s life and gave us another 10 years with him. I see him now for the same issue my dad had with hematology. I trust him inexplicably.
