First of all, let me just say that the staff and service were spot on here in Norfolk with the breakfast being an always appreciated "bonus". My complaints are with Hampton Inn corporate, not with this facility. 1) Stop putting these stupid barn doors on the bathroom. Their novelty makes them a poor excuse for anyone wanting privacy. (See picture) 2) If you're going to put a microwave and coffee maker in the room, then stop buying furnishings that puts them at a height usable only by a toddler. My first stay here was good. However, my second stay was more than frustrating. I left in the morning for work, and came Back to an ant INFESTATION. Ants in my bag, in my bed, on my 2 cats, all coming out of the carpet and floor Boards. Went to the front desk. I got a new room. I didn’t get an apology, or anything. I had to ask them if I could use their washing machine or they would have just done nothing. I’m not mad, just grossed out and frustrated. (And itchy)
