Telephoned dealer about another vehicle a week prior and spoke to Rusty as instructed by the answering machine. Never in my experience buying new and/or used cars have I dealt with someone more rude, less skilled with customer relations and less interested in making a sale. He was unwilling to answer my simple questions, argumentative and defensive. I didn't bother to look at the car for these reasons. Hampden Trading Company is very friendly and professional in serving their customers. They are up front about the cars they sell, and provide a Carfax history report on most if not all vehicles free of charge. Dusty was very helpful in answering all our questions, was very organized and explained all the paperwork before asking us to sign. It was a real pleasure doing business with him. Quick response to questions, decided to go another route, was looking for station wagon...sedan was second choice.
Unlike a typical "used car salesman" such as "Crazy Dave" and "Big Ed" (actual others I dealt with), the sales person was pleasant to deal with. I'll wait till spring to purchase and will return to Hampden Trading Co.
