Doctor ordered a certain CT scan of a specific area. The imaging center did a scan of additional areas without my consent, and the scan that they performed costs twice as much as the scan that my doctor ordered. I called my insurance company; we (I and a rep of my insurance company) called UPMC, asking that they charge for the ordered procedure.
