Amazing, from the Physician, Nurses, Technicians to the Porters, everyone was very professional and super kind,. I was really impressed with everyone.

The place has mice, staff was great , only thing is they push you out the door 24 hrs after having major surgery. Was going to put me in a taxi for a 3 hr drive home to CapeBreton.I filed a complaint, emailed minster of health, good ole Tim , and my MLA. Truly don’t expect to hear anything from them. I had an unfortunate slip and fall, while holding a glass, that broke and sliced deep into my hand and partially severed two tendons and completely severed two nerves. The attention I received at the Halifax Infirmary was exceptional. Yes, there was some waiting involved, but I understand I’m not the most important person in the world and that other people might possibly have needed attention more than I did. I am not sure how the neurology department has managed to have nothing but 3 good reviews but I will speak for the 2 individuals I know have dealt with Dr. Stephanie Woodroffe as well as myself in saying the entire neurology division does not offer any help besides offering high cost drugs with severe physical and mental side effects. I visited the Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department on July 30 around 7:30 PM due to bleeding and cramping at 5 weeks pregnant. I waited until 3:40 AM without being seen. After sitting for over 8 hours in distress, I eventually had to walk out, feeling worse than when I arrived. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I understand healthcare systems are under pressure, but to have only two beds for pregnancy-related emergencies is unacceptable. This is not what I would call emergency care. The severe... read more
