Let's start at the beginning. The original neighborhood joint was opened in April of 1994 in Snider Plaza, Dallas. It was not a seafood restaurant, but a coffee bar called Michele's Coffee Bar and Cafe. Bill Bayne was a regular breakfast customer at this little coffee shop in Snider Plaza. He thought the place would make a great oyster bar and asked the owner if he would be willing to sell the restaurant. Out of all Half Shells and Fish Cities this location is the only one that gets the oyster nacho perfect. I thank Serafin,Bill, and Lovett(from the happy committee) for keeping it perfect. Crawfishguy
Attentive, friendly waitress, a delicious drink, & some wonderful shrimp & grits with roasted peppers, onions, & a smoky bacon that infused the dish. I have got to eat that again!

Celebrated our anniversary last week at Half Shells...wouldn't have had it any other way! Awesome staff and service. We got the crab & shrimp boil for 2. All food was perfectly done, flavor was on point, and the drinks were delicious. One of our favorite restaurants...we can't wait to go back!
