Dr. Schaaf is an excellent surgeon. He listens to your questions, provides thorough answers and has a pleasant bed side manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Schaaf for knee replacement.
Dr. Schaaf is very personable, answering all of my questions in detail prior to surgery. I had two total hip replacements and he showed me the artificial joint he would be using, allowing me to hold it and see how it worked. I highly recommend him as a surgeon.
Dr Schaaf is an excellent surgeon! I had a bilateral knee replacement a year ago with an excellent recovery. Before the surgery I was in too much pain to walk or even stand. I did not want to spend the rest of my life like that. Dr Schaaf has a calm manner and explains options available and made sure we understood the surgery and rehabilitation. My husband and I just returned from a 4 week trip to France where we walked daily and I climbed many stairs with no pain. I really got my life back!
After seeing numerous orthopedic surgeons in Reading with no results I decided to go to Rothman Institute. Dr Schaaf’s credentials and profile were outstanding, which led me to him and I couldn’t have made a better choice. I had a right hip replacement on April 10th at Physicians Surgical Hospital and have been walking totally unassisted with no pain for over a week. He’s the best and I would give him, his nurse Sarah, and the entire facility an A+. I highly recommend Dr. Schaaf.
I have had 2 total knee replacements performed by Dr. Schaaf. In each instance he made sure I knew what to expect, from the procedure to medicine to physical therapy. He was recommended to me by a relative, and I absolutely recommend him to others who are looking at knee replacements. He has a nice sense of humor, easy to talk to and answers any questions, making sure you are comfortable with and understand the information.
Dr. Schaaf is an excellent surgeon and has a very good bedside manner. I wish I could give him 10 stars. I had a bilateral knee replacement done 7 weeks ago. My recovery has been so much better and faster than I ever expected. His staff is also very responsive to any questions or issues. I feel better in the 7 weeks post-op than I have in years of suffering with knee pain. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schaaf and the Rothman Institute for surgery /treatment - 100%
Dr. Schaaf is an outstanding surgeon. He has a great bed-side manner. He really cares about each and everyone of his patients. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Thank you Dr. Schaaf for giving my life back to me. I am 72 years old and had total right hip replacement done 7 weeks ago and I have been walking without a cane for over 2 weeks now.
a surgery like a complete hip replacement is not a easy one. There are a lot of great surgeons, in the valley where I live. but, as my wife's family Dr. said, "he wouldn't invite any of them to Thanksgiving dinner." So, I start looking. interviewing on line, I picked Rothman institute! more important...I picked Dr. Schaaf! A great surgeon , a great guy, and definitely a person I would invite for Thanksgiving dinner. The staff is excellent! A positive experience, from beginning to end!
I’d give Dr. Schaff six stars if I could. My hip replacement went very well and had an outcome beyond my expectations. He is an excellent surgeon, explained everything carefully both pre and post op, and has a warm, patient-first approach.
