Experience with H&R Block for tax year 2022 has been atrocious.First I attempted to file an online tax return to be performed by a professional in late March. I uploaded documents and the online program said a tax professional would be reviewing the documents. After over a week, I inquire about what's going on. Absolutely the worst decision you can make to hire H&R Block to prepare your taxes! They are a SCAM! FRAUD! LIARS! The scam is simple, convince you that everything is going to be great! While preparing my taxes the rep assured me all would be great! He told me We would be getting a federal refund and hid the fact that we would also be owing the ***************** to $1053.00! The most incompetent support team I have ever had to deal with.Submitting my documents four weeks before taxes are due to have a tax professional work on them and my status was "hang tight we are working on them" for all four weeks.I tried calling to get a status update and not a single representative could help me. They would reroute my call, hang up, or just had no idea how to help solve my issue.You would think they would be equipped to provide tax status updates.NEVER AGAIN will I work with H&R Block.STAY FAR AWAY!

I used this service for the first time this year. I originally scheduled an appointment but was called twice to say that they could not do a face to face appt, only virtual. I was reluctant but went along with it. I thought I would still have a virtual face to face which I never got. When asked about the pricing i was told it depends on how complext my taxes are. ********* is the WORSE manager ever. I called at 9am asking if my documents were uploaded and she said yes - I asked her if I needed to keep my 6pm appt and she said no she would have one of her Tax Pro's send it off for our approval - I asked how long she said 2 hours - I told her that would be great - please cancel our appt. When after five hours they were not done I called - she said no she meant 2 days - I said I never would have cancelled my appt. She said you are not being nice and she hung up on me.

My daughter, who earns a meager salary as a waitress and struggling makeup artist, responded to the "free" H&R Block tax prep ad, particularly the ******* H&R Block on *************. She prepared her taxes online as their program required and it was accepted and noted an expected refund from both State and Federal. H/R block in ******* ** deposited my sons taxes in the wrong account. I have called them several time and they cant understand and tell Me I told them something different when I know exactly what I told them! Our tax specialist had all three account/routing numbers yet they somehow screwed up and wont fix it! I am livid! They made a mistake and they need to fix it not tell me that I am wrong!

$774?! We met with a Tax Pro to help us prepare and file our taxes, understanding that the "Starting at $85" probably meant after a few fees we'd be paying a hundred or two. The appointment started late, then we were rushed out the door because they had another appointment booked, and all the back and forth via email etc, and I just got a bill for $774?!?! I'm speechless.
