Over all I like your store. The fruits and vegetables are always very good quality. Prices are always good. I prefer to sack my own groceries because your sackers do not seem to have been trained as to the proper way to sack groceries. Every time I go back to get Yogurts ,I find the HEB brands down on the lower shelves within easy reach and the name brands up on the higher shelves and pushed to the back (not keeping the shelves restocked and moving items to the front) . It's crazy that they have a garage sale at 9 to 4 today and I was there at 8:30 and I told a girl I got of at 3 and I got there by 3:30 and they where closing and would not let me shop this is crazy hours for people that work. I shop there 3 to 4 days a week in the mornings and they want let you shop for specials when you are there 40 minutes before they say they are to close.
This store is frequently out of common items on my grocery list,i.e. Central Market organic half & half, the house brand of cottage cheese in the large container, house brand of breakfast cereals, HEB refrigerated pie crusts. There is such a need for a store in southeast Abilene, but HEB seem to prefer that I shop at Market Street.
H-E-B has the best produce and meat selections in town. The prices are reasonable, and the people are nice. I would love it if they had the bulk spices section like some of the stores in larger markets.
I absolutely LOVE this store! Wish we had one in north Abilene.
I like how fresh there food is. And It's nice when you can almost walk through the store with your eyes closed. Just cause you know the store.
Normally I would give 5 stars, as I have loved my HEB.. but so upset tonight with them. Tried to call and talk to an manager and after nearly 50 mins being put on hold.. it hanging up, calling back etc...never got a manager to answer, so called back (5th call) and left my name and phone #.. no call back. What is wrong HEB???
I love this store. We need one like this closer to Gorman. By the way, some guy kicked the trashcan in the parking lot. He kicked it hard enough to scatter its contents including glass. I followed him to his brown older model GMC pickup. His plate number is BE9 5747. I wish he and others like him would have some respect for other customers and for the employees who have to clean up his mess.
