When I checked in the Puffin inn, I asked the lady behind the desk, where was a good place to eat close by. She smiled and said I highly recommend Gwennies. She said she all day breakfast was great. I took her advice and went. It's a very comfortable restaurant and lounge! Very friendly and the bar maid was very good, she hustled to take make sure everyone was taken care of. The steak and eggs breakfast I had for dinner was excellent. I highly recommend Gwennies if you are in Anchorage by the airport on Spenard st. 🤩😊

It is a great place to go to meet friends in a great Alaska building. The food is always good the help are fantastic and they been there a long time it's always a great memory — with Ashley Mae.
My brother and I had lunch here. I ordered the Crab Omelette and my brother ordered the Halibut and Chips, let’s just say his halibut looked like the frozen fish sticks you would by for your kids at the grocery store, his salad was old and wilted, $27.50. The Crab Omelette has real crab that tasted like it had been caught years ago! $15.00. Dessert Vanilla Ice cream and Pecan Pie, nothing special, 11.00.
