This place sucks. I had so much grease on my plate that it to two napkins to wipe it up. Then they gave me 1 teaspoon of dipping sauce for my kangaroo steak, and when I asked for more they charged me a quarter and forgot to tell me there was a charge and again less than a teaspoon of dipping sauce. The sautéed mushrooms were so salty and greasy that it was impossible to eat. I actually have an upset stomach.
the Sunday fried chicken was awesome. interesting game menu as well.
Stopped here on a roadtrip. Service was good. It is a little on the spendy side but you're paying for exotic meats. The variety to choose from is excellent although I wish there were more sampler plate options because I truly want to try it all. The alligator was our favorite, duck was a bit overdone but other than that the taste of everything was 4.5/5. My biggest criticism is for who ever does the ordering. when we first moved to Post falls we used to frequent GW Hunters and the food and service were great. Ever since it weren't under new ownership it has gone downhill. tonight was the worst experience we ever had. food was terrible, overpriced and it took over an hour to get 2 dinners. the room they stuck us in was so hot it was miserable and no one, not even the owner cared at all. We were sat in the back, no air conditioning so they pointed a fan at us until a big group came in, they took the fan away and we sat there with sweat dripping down our face. Our food was cold, didn’t get dipping sauce or asked if we would like another drink.
Have always heard good comments and was very disappointed. We were seated in the back of the very back where it was extremely hot when there was no one seated in the front half of the restaurant. Dirty used silverware under our table that was very visible and not one of the 5 workers that pasted our table numerous times offered to pick it up. Used to be my favorite place to eat, ate there for many years, not anymore. Orders get confused, food tastes rancid, attitudes from staff. Really too bad. I will no longer return there.
