I was looking on the Nevada housing division website at home mortgage programs and Guild Mortgage was first on the list for the Home is Possible program. Donna **B****** was the loan officer that I got. This was by far the WORST experience I have EVER had. She was condescending and rude and extremely judgemental. She asked me why I have child support on my credit and then said "ya, I'm going to have to decline your application." Was recommended a lender here by a realtor. Made an account on their website and created a mortgage application. Someone pulls my credit the next day. No one contacts me. I tried using the account status update feature and listed my contact details to get someone from the mortgage team to reach out to me, no answer. AVOID this company. We completed all Tasks required by the Magnotta team at Guild Mortgage. Due to weeks of delay on their part, we missed an opportunity to secure a lower interest rate. At no time during the process did they offered assistance or advice during the process. We initiated the refinancing through them because our original mortgage was with Guild. The agent with whom we dealt on the original loan left the company. Unfortunately, her replacement was not up to task.

This place cost me to lose $4,200 by lying or being incompetent. My mortgage was pulled the day before closing after it was said to be approved. I lost $600 for inspection, $600 for appraisal and $3,000 in earnest money. We were set to close on 1/21/21. On the 19th I was asked to provide about a dozen more documents , after I was supposedly already vetted and conditionally qualified. First home I ever owned went through this company because a friend told me about them. I have used them for over three years and I must say the experience has been bad from the start. The customer service is horrible and the officers do not take the time to help or explain things to a new person. Almost a year ago I initiated a small refi loan with Brian Manning. I was clear that I was retiring and wanted to complete the loan before that date. Though he was eager to make the loan, the work was not completed on time. I retired, and then they would not issue the loan because I did not have an income at that point. I thought buying a new home was supposed to be a great experience however for me it was an experience from hell. My senior loan officer Maureen P***** began our relationship with a "you're pre-approved go find your home" in mid July. WORST decision of my home buying experience was going with Guild Mortgage. They were unorganized, at the last minute they told me I needed to re-submit all of my letters and documents. They have no integrity or ethics. They squeezed in a bunch of last minute fee's and expenses into my closing costs when they new I could not say no or leave. THEY ARE THE WORST! We were completely dissatisfied with Senior Loan Officer Mark M****** located at office *** ** ***** ******* ***** ******** ******** ** *****, his team, and the Branch Manager Cynthia L***.
