During our process we were working with ****** who works out of San Diego. He made the process as painless as possible. He spoke for us with his supervisors and a secondary company that we had to work with. He was absolutely AMAZING through the whole process. He spelled things out in terms we understood and was patient with us with all of the questions and text messages we sent. We are so thankful we had the opportunity to work with him. And would recommend anyone to work with him with ANYTHING with guild mortgage.

I was encouraged by the real estate agent to apply for a mortgage with Guild mortgage and was contacted by a *************************. During the process she kept saying I could get a lower rate of I paid her money which sounds like extortion. When I advised her I had a lower rate quote by another company, magically she was able to drop my rate to match theirs. I am 100% permanent and totally disabled with finance through this company. I financed my home in April and was informed I would need to contact ***** *** for my exemption status. i did as I was instructed to do in June and awaited a response from this company. After I faxed over documentation in June of 100%, this company called ***** *** and sttaatted they said I was partially disabled. We had a great experience with this company up until the point we sold our home. An issue with the closing date/funding ended up with us having a late payment. 20+ years and two mortgages of paying on time washed away with an error at the end. When talking with customer service we were told they don't care about why it was late or the history we had with them, "pay on time like normal customers" is the response that stood out the most. The company was ok to work with until we had one error. Then they treat you as sub-human.

I've been working with the customer service department for 4 months now to get sign off on an electric easement. The process has never been clearly outlined for me, the department I'm working with only communicates by email and has refused phone calls, and it regularly takes a week+ and multiple emails to get a response.

Hello was tring to help daughter with a home purchase . We put a bid on one home then changed are minds, wrote termination agreement. So far have been screwed out of are escrow money ******* . The process to close on the mortgage was smooth and easy but the issues occurred after everything was set up and having to deal with the corporate office where no one can answer your questions and no phone calls are returned and the endless amount of emails that were sent with no response and no answers. The insurance department is a total train wreck where they do whatever and whenever. This review is about the privacy issue, connected with online access, for Assumed Loans, that Guild REFUSES to correct. I assumed the responsibility of a mortgage that was under my brother. He died in 2015, and my parents did not want the house. I did.All was well in the beginning.
