I updated my personal information with Guild in Dec. Never received a call or any notification that there was an issue with my payment in Feb. until my next statement in March. I called them as soon as I received my statement and took care of the issue. I was also told that they had the correct phone number for me. However, I got hit with late payment charges as well as a hit on my credit report from them and they refuse to fix the issue. If there was a zero for the customer service **** in San **********************, That's what they would get! I needed to take over my dad's account after he passed in sept 2021. I called in October to explain my situation & that I would be late with his mortgage payment. I called on 10/16 & was transferred to 3 different people before I got the answers I needed. I had the unfortunate experience of my house burning down about a month ago. After dealing with my insurance company, I was provided a check on Monday morning to pay off my mortgage with the balance to provide funds to begin replacing basic things like beds and coats. I contacted Guild directly by phone about the check and its purpose, and was instructed to overnight it to a specific address. I did so. Too bad negative ratings arent allowed. Was trying to refinance a mortgage already with them. The agent was straight up dishonest multiple times and when pressed, got angry with me. After looking into it I found she continued to be dishonest about points charges and tried to conceal that. I canceled as I dont do business with people who attempt to deceive you. This is the worst company Ive ever dealt with in my life. They destroyed my credit over a banking error that was corrected in less than 24 hrs. After I contacted custom service to address the issue, did everything they asked me to in order to resolve the issue, I was told theres nothing they can do. Go with a local bank or credit union. This company has caused me a bigger financial problem than Ive ever had in my life.
We were lied to by the agent multiple times and had very poor communication from the agent. The agent did not transfer our home owners insurance information to the new mortgage company after they sold our mortgage. I have records of all communications with the agent to prove the issues that we have had through the entire process and even over a year later now
After 4 months and 3 extensions they denied us for a mortgage. A month later we got a mortgage for $10000 more. They are ***** and unpleasant. It took us weeks for us to get out down payment back. Do not deal with them

I would give 0 if I had the option. We have been working with guild mortgage for the past 2 months getting a home loan everything seemed to be good, asked 2 days before we sold our home and was told yes. 3 days after we sold our home the loan officer said we didnt qualify because I got a new job and my offer letter wasnt good enough. We were moving 4 hours away. We are currently now homeless with 2 kids, our pets being boarded at the vet. We also have to sell our cattle and horses.
