Last weekend was the last time we bought anything from Guerin Nursery, after we got really bad vibes from their employee, whose name as it appeared on our receipt, was Chloe. She is not knowledgeable and was extremely rude to my husband. First she told us we were in zone 9, which is not true, and when my husband asked her a few additional questions, she got annoyed and became inpatient and unfriendly, as if she hated her job and the customers. The plants here are healthy, but the prices are extremely high. If you just need one or two plants, it might be fine—but if you're planning a larger project, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. We priced out a front yard landscaping project using their plants, and it came out to over $500. I ended up going to a nursery in Cresson and got everything I needed for just $150.
Grabbed a cart-full of things today, and I've never felt so at peace in one place in all my life. The vibe, the staff, everything was just an amazing and calming experience. I would live here if I could!
I purchased 6 crape myrtles and a red oak and had them installed/planted. The trees are lovely no complaints with the products. However after the rain that happened the first week of April 2025 3 of the six crape myrtles appeared to have floated and are almost fallen over due to them not being planted with stakes to hold them down till they root themselves in the ground. I asked for some basic guidance for filling my rather large - sixty foot - flower bed. A employee named Lori basically treated like I was a nuisance. The plan was to purchase dozens of plants - but not now. I will take my business to an establishment that cares for its patrons.
