Overall I like my apartment and they aren't really annoying about things. From what I've heard from other people they're also pretty good about showing your place when you move out... they're not too invasive.
Group Fox is pretty awesome (especially for a FREE service) and Arnell was awesome and I'd suggest calling him!
Really beautiful, well-maintained building – Very energetic and friendly agents. Tom showed us the apartment and was extremely accommodating.
The layout of the apartment is great! It feels incredibly spacious. The kitchen is gorgeous, all new. The paint is brand new as are the floors. Now, I share this apartment with my boyfriend and our bedroom is HUGE with two HUGE closets, one for him and one for me. Our bedroom has two extra closets as well. It's got one of those bathrooms where the sink is outside and the bathtub/toilet are inside. I personally think this is fine and prefer it. You can pay rent online. We love this place.
the property manager Tara was always polite and professional and the maintenance guy (I think his name is Julius) was awesome. He was so nice and helpful, and always explained what he was doing to fix something in case it happens again and he's not available. Oh, and get this: HE ANSWERS HIS PHONE! How weird is that?! I always thought that leaving a maintenance request voicemail and getting a callback in 2-3 days was the standard, but not here. He answers his phone and can usually come same-day. My apartment is nice, stove, fridge, dishwasher that I've never needed to have fixed. They handle pest control well too. They also made renting easy, there weren't a million hoops to jump through or a long interview or whatever. Just a quick form to fill out and a credit and/or background check and you're good to go.
You do NOT want to live there! – The staff will treat you like a guest when you are trying to find an apartment but will treat you like garbage after you moved in. They even will charge you for the days you don't live there after you move out!!!
Group Fox has been very helpful in my apartment search. They are easy to get ahold of and their main office is open 24 hours which I loved because I was in and out viewing apartments. They make sure where you move is a good fit for you, they don't just force you into the first place you come across. I do recommend working with Group Fox to find your next place.
I moved to Chicago from Evanston a few months ago and found a great apartment. Everything in my apartment is redone and I have hardwood floors, granite counters, and new cabinets. Maintenance is great and responds very quickly. In addition, some of the maintenance people live in the building. Laundry is in the building which is very nice. Group Fox is great.
