George Rivera-Davis, Des Moines native and creator/owner of Grounds for Celebration, has been in the coffee business for more than 15 years. “The first time I drank a good cup of coffee. . .well, my uncle grows coffee in Panama and he had a bumper crop one year. Great local coffee shop. Serve a nice lunch - soup, salad, fresh fruit or sandwich. Good food....good prices. Excellent coffee.
LOVE their coffee. They are right next door to our restaurant and so convenient. My favorite is The Nutty Irishman. Great staff too.

A latte should not be half foam. Paid full price for a half a cup of coffee. Clerk said she could pour some out and add more milk. No. don't pour out the coffee and add more milk. You barely got any milk in there the first time. I have been a customer for 7 years. Not anymore. Happens too often.
Great coffee and food! The baristas are friendly and owners are welcoming and genuine willing to accommodate in any way they can weather your alone or meeting a group of people.
