My son had pain during running (he's on the XC team). Another team parent, a runner himself, recc'd Dr. G. He suspected stress fracture, but MRI was going to be very costly. We wanted to skip the MRI, proceed as if it was ITB syndrome (another possibility), and get phys. therapy.. Thought the dr. might not be happy with this, but he was ok with it. After a few wks & an x-ray, the stress fracture was confirmed. He prescribed a greatly reduced training. My son listened, & is healed!
I came to Dr. Grosskopf because I am a very active female that wanted to get back to my routines. He was very professional, intelligent, friendly and thorough with my care. He took the time to explain my condition and what my options were. He also took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Grosskopf.

Dr. Grosskopf was referred to me by our local family doctor over other more well know local orthopedic specialists. I was very happy with Dr. Grosskopf's professionalism, compassion to my shoulder problems and surgical expertise. Office staff is also top notch. Feeling great since my shoulder surgery. He gave me a great recommendation on physical therapist as well.
Dr. Grosskopf is truly a one-of-a-kind orthopedic surgeon. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and, most importantly, caring. He will take his time meeting with you to ensure all of your concerns and questions are thoroughly answered. He successfully repaired my torn labrum in 2o11 and, just recently, I flew from TX to IL to have him repair my bicep tendon. In addition, his office staff is just as helpful, friendly, and caring as he is.
Injured shoulders at work (firefighter). Dr. Grosskopf was recommended to me by another FF. Actually by several of them. And I tell you, I could not have been directed to a more caring, personable, knowledgeable, and quality surgeon. I hope never to see the inside of his office again, but if I ever need an orthopedic surgeon for myself, my family, or my friends, it will be Dr. Grosskopf. Some years ago, Doctor fixed both of my shoulders. I lost track of him for years. When I needed treatment with my wrists, I searched the internet to find him. I did find him in St Charles. He has now fixed my wrist and the experience was very satisfying. His office staff is friendly and competent. My other wrist is now acting up so it looks like I will need his services again. Dr Jeffrey Grosskopf and his entire team are top-notch. I was having chronic knee pain and Dr Grosskopf determined I had ACL, as well as meniscus issues. He thought orthoscopic surgery would provide relief to my knee. I am happy to report that the operation was a complete success. Dr Grosskopf gave me a new lease on life. I haven't felt this good in years. From the minute you walk into his office, you feel like his team genuinely cares about you and a successful outcome.
