Groomingdales is blah I have a Portuguese Water Dog and I've taken my dog there about 5 times each time thinking afterward that maybe I wasn't clear enough on how I wanted him trimmed to begin with. For $50 plus tip they cut his hair and trim the nails, I really don't think he gets a bath at all. One time I said I wanted the PWD tail and they gave him back to me looking like a black squirrel. Great 1st Experience!!! I have a 6 month old Labradoodle that was groomed for the first time today. I wanted a detailed scissor cut versus a clip cut. The owner was great going through all the details on the phone. They were great about working with her slowly and easing her into the process which can be tedious for precocious Labradoodles! She looks wonderful and their prices are VERY reasonable!!!
Love them! I have been going to groomingdales for over 7 years and will never take my baby anywhere else. She actually gets excited to go inside and see them! My pet has severe allergies and has never had a problem with the products they use on her. She always comes back looking gorgeous and smelling great, and wagging her tail and happy. Great place to take your pet!
Great Value for the price I've taken my two corgies there for 7 years. They always do exactly what we want and show specific care for their coats. They also do the "Furminator" process on their coats which has significantly cut down on the fur we find around the house, which makes my life easier. Would highly recommend the process, even though it's more expensive, and would also recommend Groomingdales.
Not Impressed... I have taken my dog here twice and on teh second time around she came back to me with a rash that cost me over two hundred dollars to get cured. After observing teh staff and establishment i would not take her back here to get groomed. The staff seem like direlicts that they grabbed off of the street, the store isnt that clean and they act like teh cable guy in regards to pickup and dropoff times. Not impressed and not taking her back.
The Only Place to Take Your Dogs I had taken my two dogs to nearly five different groomers before I found Groomingdale's, but after finding it I would not dream of taking them anywhere else. They do a wonderful job grooming my two Airedales, which can be difficult since it ins't just a quick shave. They also do an incredible job grooming dogs that don't like being groomed or bathed PROS: Very responsible and caring staff! CONS:
new location on 21st Street In early 06 Groomingdales moved to their new location on 21st Street. This business is a local favorite with the dog park crowd. They are equally adept at grooming my 120 pound Golden Retriever, as well as my neighbors ten pound poodle, and every doggie client gets a stylish neck scarf to take home. Their prices are quite reasonable, and my pooches have appointments every 3 months or so. I wouldn't trust my furry babies with anyone else They are great and they love on the dogs too. My babies always come back completely dry and happy. Their nails are never cut too short, and they always clip them exactly how I ask.
