Grizzly, in short don't buy from them. The list is too long over one machine I purchased. Many breakage problems and very poor customer service regarding a *****, $1,200 lathe. I'll never spend another dollar with them.

The breakage issues I experienced with lathe puts the operator of this lathe at risk for serious bodily injury.
This company treats there customers with disrespect when trying to return product that doesn't meet the requirements for use on equipment they sold me ! They want to charge a 10% restocking fee if they think the part is good enough to them ! This is horse c*** service! And I hope people will understand they will be disappointed on how they will be treated!
I've ordered many tools from Grizzly over the years. Most of them smaller items that shipped *** or ***** or the like.. All have arrived in good working order and faster than expected. I ordered a wood lathe from them in December. It's almost February and it still hasn't arrive. As much as I'd like to blame Grizzly, I can't. It's the shippers fault not theirs. The worst customer service I have had to deal with in years. Its been 10 days now and Im still waiting for a return label for a damaged item. I call everyday and get the same song about being short staffed. Funny they werent short staffed when they charged my credit card. Come to find out all their tools are made in China, NO THANKS !!! Here I thought i was getting a quality product made in the USA.
********** were almost a month and they didnt even send the right color item. When I reached out to them to get a replacement I got no response.
I purchased a saw that they lost then they refused to refund my money and stopped contact and wont respond to me. They have stolen my money and I still have no saw and now refund.
If you can't put it in a box and return it.. DONT buy it. My jointer didn't run 2 hours total usage and yes after numerous customer relations phone calls, they told me to take off the 100 lb. motor and replace a capacitor, and put the motor back in the cabinet, and oh yes it still doesn't run, and now they want me to put this 800-pound machinery on a pallet and have the worthless shipping company pick it up.... what do you think it will look like when it returns someday? and will it run... if your an old retire like me save ... read more
Grizzly took my order on 5/29 and after 2 months of no parts - I contacted them only to find out that my order was cancelled with zero notice. If you actually need your items - purchase from somewhere else.
I purchased a planer on may 9th for $845 including tax and shipping. It was shipped on the 10th, and arrived at my local UPS hub on the 13th, then disappeared. After numerous calls to grizzley, and to UPS it was apparent that it was lost. I called the hubs myself only to hear them blame each other for the disappearance. I asked Grizzly to please send a new one, or refund my money. They told me they could do neither until UPS found the package, or 8 business days had gone by without results.
