The ribs were out of this world good. The chips were great as well.
We went to this place about 20 years ago. As I remember it was pretty good so we met with some friends and had lunch there today. We had 4 different plates. Bronze catfish with their green beans. Catfish was not great but it was good. Green beans were very tasty. Chopped steak with steamed squash. Chopped steak was not very hot causing the cheese sauce to become hard. We had pretty bad service and food was equally disappointing. Nice atmosphere but we will head to Gruene River Grill next time
HORRIBLE. I was sat upstairs where no one else was in sight. Wait staff never came to take my order. RIDICULOUS. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
I am not easily impressed. I give it a 5 out of 5. I was lucky to get there early enough not to wait.
The food is decent, no surprises on the menu just good standard Texas fare. The ambiance is the main selling point. The layout and location make this one of my favorite places to take visitors for a taste of good south central Texas food and atmosphere. The multi-level deck overlooking the river provides a beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy the outdoors almost year round. The fact that it's right behind Gruene Hall, one of the oldest Dancehalls in Texas is an added bonus!
Its a nice place with excelent taste and the service is one of the best. You have to go.

Great service and the food is truly amazing! I had the pan seared red fish!
