Have been a customer for 20 years. I initially filed a BBB complaint mostly out of exasperation and stress from other concerns on top of the concerns with the A/C, without really giving Griffith time to address the issues. I realize it was an mostly unfair assessment, as Griffith handled the issues as soon as they could, in the most professional manner possible. My father has been a customer of Griffith for 10+ years. We have sold his house recently. I was there last Sunday, they were supposed to have replace a part the Monday prior, when I got there, the thermostat was set on 65, and the temperature inside the house was 50. I called, they said they would try to get someone out that day. No one came. Called on Monday, they said someone would be out to look at it, no one called me back. called later in the day was told the part they installed was faulty, they needed to install a new ... read more

In the 6 degree weather, I ran out of oil. I called 3:30 am and had a delivery by 8:30 am. That was a Sunday morning! Excellent service, prompt and courteous!

In 1950 or so, my parents ran out of oil for the boiler in a snow storm. Their oil company "couldn't deliver" because of the snow. Griffith hasn't let us run out of oil since. And, best of all, they have a technician who understands the old radiant heating systems because he grew up with one. He did leave Griffith because of management for too many years but is back again. This Griffith Energy company was simply terrible. I needed a new valve for my oil tank. An appointment was scheduled for Tuesday ("first thing") since I was out of oil, and as such, had no heat. This appointment was scheduled as an "emergency" on the prior Thursday because they ONLY have a couple of guys that can replace these valves and such these guys ONLY work Tue-Thur. In 2010 I signed a contract for monthly oil billing. The contract called for my first fill up to be at $2.49 per gallon. hey came for the first fill up and after filling 10 gallons told me i had to have a bigger vent line installed. This cost me $500. They then added 10 gallons of fuel and charged me over $300 for the fuel and came back a day later and added another 10 gallons for another $300. They finally filled my tank and charged me $2.89 (instead of the $2.49 per gallon agreed to). I refused to pay and they sent the bil... read more
