Dr. Slappey recently performed Carpal Tunnel Surgery on me. It was completely pain free. I didn't even need the pain medication after the surgery. The results are truly amazing. For the first time in many years I have feeling in my fingers.
Do yourself a favor - avoid this doctor at all costs if you can. He opted for the most painful form of torture to my wife's broken wrist rather than doing the necessary surgery that would have resulted in permanent healing. Instead, she lives with wrist pain every day. He might fool you with a good-natured approach but he is lazy and doesn't listen to his patients.
I am a 29 y/o woman who initially used Dr. Slappey as my orthopedic surgeon for a full ACL replacement in '09. Many complications arose. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I made arrangements to be seen by a Sports Surgeon in Cincinnati. I am suffering from a great deal of scarring, a cyclops lesion, possible meniscus damage, and worst of all -- my allograft placement was 100% VERTICAL and I barely have any ACL left. Now I will need another ACL reconstruction to fix this botched job. Run away!
