The customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I was there as part of an event which had a room block. The room should have been a double but was a queen. They offered a cot at our expense. Uh no. They somehow found a double that was a smoking optional room that smelled like stale cigarettes. A machine was supposed to be ran(one hour) but we returned to the room and no difference. I got MARRIED at GVR this weekend. I have been going to this hotel for the last 7 years and have loved it. Until now. There were only a few people Maybe a total of 10-15 by the end of the weekend.. out of the 40 to 50 we had to interact with. Ty in VIP services deserves a raise or a promotion for everything she had to put up with; she had no control over a lot of what happened but she still remained as helpful as she could. We celebrated our 45 wedding anniversary here. At the registration desk, the staff offered us an upgrade to a 1500 square-foot suite for a reasonable price. They surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries in the room shortly after we checked in. The concierge, Pamela, found great seats for a show at a cheaper price than I could find online. Great experience again !!!! With a busy weekend for our Javita Event we have everything we need without needing to leave ! Very clean and friendly stafff. We can't wait til next event to return!!
