Tired of his 5 a.m. forays, a young farmer decided he had milked his last cow. He conceived the idea to build a roadside sandwich stand. This sandwich stand on Somerset Pike (Route 985) in Jennerstown evolved into the Laurel HIghlands landmark it is today, known as Green Gables Restaurant, a Wine Spectator award winner. Everything was very good and they were very accommodating....they made a vegan meal for my niece since there weren't really any choices on the menu.
My niece's wedding was at Green Gables and Huddleson Court this past Saturday and all I can say is it was perfect; the scenery, the food, the staff...everything was amazing.
My daughter's wedding was yesterday and it absolutely magical. Every part of the whole experience was perfect. Teresa and her staff did an exceptional job!
I attended my niece's wedding there yesterday. What a beautiful spot with a charming interior. The perfect venue to witness the ceremony and celebrate their marriage.

Always enjoy going back to Green Gables. We had our wedding reception there almost 35 years ago. Last night was Cuvee Community...a special wine dinner benefiting two community foundations. Wonderful tradition
