Awesome bar. Comfortable, friendly staff, great beer selection. We had a great couple nights here during our stay.
i missed something like fish'n chips, at least. kitchen closes at 9? nobody told me it'd be matinée...
Popped in with couple friends during a pub crawl of historic Boston. Manager was confrontational as soon as we walked in. We were a group of four laughing but polite and not loud. As a we were seated he was overheard telling waitress "you dont have to serve them if you don't want". Few mins later he came over and said his staff didn't want to serve us. We were not intoxicated nor boisterous. He was just not used to overt friendliness. Went next door to the Bell and Hand....well worth the walkout. Much friendlier staff.
Business response:
You came in touting your own solo cups filled with mixed drinks and when told you could not have those you handed over three of the four and one of your company began to chug hers. Service was really lacking and the washrooms were disgusting.
Excellent atmosphere and great service and great food We will be back
The history was great. The atmosphere dragged you back in time.
Great place to pop in, grab a beer and a burger and experience the history of Boston. Service is friendly, great beer and the burgers are delicious- one of the best I've ever had. We will definitely return to The Green Dragon every time we're in Boston.
So happy with The Green Dragon and its home brew on a Thursday evening that we went back on Saturday for lunch. Happy we did because I found out I share a birthday with bartender Ray. ;) Excellent chowder and bangers and mash. I wish I knew where they bought their bangers! Love the history and decor of the place along with their whiskey selection. Be sure to check this tavern out.
Very good experience! You will not be disappointed.
