I had my first visit today with Dr. Khan which was a disaster. I was told that this first visit would be a hour long visit and that the cost would be $250. I get there and this man came in and asked me two personal questions which were: how was your childhood and was I raised by two or one parent. After this he asked a couple of questions about my medications and he wrote a prescription and tried to give it to me. I didn’t take it and at this point I asked him was he done. He replied “yes”. Short Sessions. Beware of Unscrupulous Use of No-show Fee My daughter is supposed to get 30 minutes with her psychiatrist each visit. She is charged a full $250 each time, not covered by insurance, and she only receives 15-20 minutes of time. A CRNP always sees her, never her MD. On three occasions she has had to reschedule her appointment. No matter how far ahead she calls, she is charged a $50 no-show fee, even though she is rescheduling.
