5 stars for Dr. Shifflett and his skills as a surgeon and his facilities. I went back and forth about docking a star and finally decided to do so based on the admin side. I don't think his people like working there. I'm not at all saying it's a reflection on Dr. Shifflett, because what do I know about the inner workings there? Nada. I saw Dr Shifflet & his staff in July of 2024 after a hospital stay for back pain & loss of the ability to walk. I went to him based on a recommendation from my GP who was concerned b/c I am a fit & active person with a severe issue with my lower back. The appointment went well & a plan was put in place. Why 1 ? It is b/c next steps were 2 very expensive & hard to book scans to be able to determine what type of treatment/potential surgery may be needed & that my insurance company needed medical necessity review approval. Dr. Shifflett and his team are amazing! They provide incredible care, and they do so with compassion and kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Shifflett for anyone needing spinal surgery. He is awesome!
Great, patient first experience.
I went to Dr Shifflett on a recommendation from another medical professional after learning I would need two cervical disks replaced. He had a hypothesis that the degeneration was not due to overuse or trauma but the result of a serious bone infection. I sought out other opinions and the possibility of an infection was never mentioned or deemed relative.
