We visited in June 2015. Our service was great and the food was amazing!!!
We drove 45 minutes to come here to be completely disappointed. There were only 2 waitresses working which is how we were greeted and to tell us it would be at least 15 minutes before she could come back but the bar was open seating. We choose to stay in the dining room, big mistake. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, a side salad, water with lemon. I never got the lemon, there was little to no chicken and the noodles were cold. We had dinner and I have to say the food was awesome and the service was good and friendly
I had biscuits and gravy for breakfast one day, ham and cheese omelette the second day, and pizza for dinner. No complaints with the food, with the exception of orange juice that tasted "rusty", so we switched to apple juice. The server was friendly, but really slow, and the waitstaff manager seemed like she had other things she'd rather be doing. Superb food! My husband and I enjoyed every last bit.... Wild Rice bread, wild rice soup, drunken duck bites, sausage banger entrée, ribeye steak entrée! Good service too!
The service was very slow and we were the servers only table. I ordered a ribeye and was given the strip steak. I questioned the server who insisted I had a ribeye. The stakes were not cooked to order and was not impressed with the flavor.
My wife and I were at the restaurant about 3 months ago for a weekend getaway. However, we made the mistake of going on one of the "Wine Weekends", which we were not part of. When we dined at the Splashing Rock our first two dishes that we ordered were sold out, and such was the case for several others seated around us.
