Sat for over an hour, never got dinner, manager in duty made it sound like my fault rather than doing anything to make the situation right.
Fish and chips and burgers were very large portions and so tasty . Loved the relaxed dining experience. Unique decorations. Lovely outside grounds. Highly recommend this place !!

We stay every year a Mcmenamins (majority at Edgefield) for my birthday. This year we went to Grand Lodge! My fiance' and I always go on Friday and then the rest of our party (12 rooms) join on Saturday. Saturday morning we ate breakfast at Iron Works. The young man that served us seemed to just be waking up and was less than pleasant (not much personality). We ordered a cinnamon roll to eat before our breakfast came but it was forgotten. Food was marginal and prices were high for the quality provided. Server was disengaged after we didn’t order drinks. Ho-hum experience—just like last time. I’ll be going elsewhere next time...
We were scouting and sightseeing around Portland and Eugene for days. We really wanted to find areas that weren't for tourists though. Where people live and the everyday culture is. After a drive to and from the ocean and Astoria though, it was getting late. Things were closing up in most areas. We stumbled across the Barley Mill Pub mostly by accident. It's great.
