RecommendedWe have taken two trips with them: Budepest to Warsaw (river cruise + bus) and Rome to Venice (bus). We just booked Budepest to Black Sea + Romania. Our traveling companions, like us have travelled extensively for 30+ years and we could not be any happier than we are with Grand Circle. Best local guides and good comparative value. Grand Circle will alaways be our first choice.
First experience not good. First tour was cancelled due to ship not in good shape. Re-booking was long and tedious. Lots of phone calls to obtain previously agreed upon prices. When trip was originally cancelled, email noted savings if rebooked. Am yet to see any savings. No call back from supervisor. Quite frankly if my friends would not be affected by me not going on the trip. I would of opted out. Most likely will cruise with another company in future.😥
I sent two correspondences to GCT management on how they handled the BlackSea tour in October. There was low water reported in August and GCT made you feel like it was a recent event. I received no response from GCT. Ignored! Sure tell us how great we are but complain and no one listens. Viking returned money to their customers for the same trip. GCT gave dollars towards a future trip in 2019.

We are on the Harmony now. With low water levels adjustments have had to be made on the Great Rivers of Europe trip. Grand Circle has gone more than out of their way to keep the trip enjoyable. The educational events and entertainment have been fantastic. Tom and I love traveling with Grand Circle 😊
Just returned from their Great Rivers of Europe Cruse. We checked before our trip. No problems. Five days out we get an email that we will be in Amsterdam an extra day. Arrive in Europe only to discover that river trips were very limited due to low water levels. It turned out to be a long bus trip. I am especially upset because they knew this would happen when they sold us the tickets. They gave us no options. Can’t say enough about this company! I just finished Eastern Europe to the Black Sea. We had an outstanding Program Director AND crew. We added the Prague Extension and enjoyed that as well. GCT is tops in my book!
